| 摘 要： | 文庙是祭祀孔子、研习礼乐、传承经典和培养人才的主要场所，具有祭祀、教学和文化传承等重要功能。随着社会的变迁，文庙的功能重心不断发生转移，从最初重视祭祀到现在更加重视褒奖。文庙不仅褒奖孔子和历代先贤先儒，还褒奖当地乡贤和名宦，他们都是德行显著、政绩突出之人。文庙褒奖的实质是教化，是引导人们向善与成贤。文庙褒奖影响深远，对一般家庭来讲，可以身显名贵；对求学士子而言，先贤是他们效仿的楷模；对一般民众来说，能够激励他们向善和求学，从整个社会风气来看，可以化民导俗。在当代社会，要想更好地发挥文庙的褒奖功能，就应该改善文庙的形式，丰富文庙的内容，并与当地特色相结合，使其成为真正的文化中心，更好地为现代社会服务。

| Abstract: | Confucian Temples is devoted to paying tribute to Confucius, studying ritual music, inheriting classics and cultivating talents, which essentially function as the sites of sacrifice, teaching and cultural inheritance. With the changes of the society, the function of the Confucian Temple has shifted from the initial emphasis on the sacrifice to the present emphasis on the praise and honor. The Confucian Temple paid respects not only to Confucius and the Confucian sages of the past dynasties, but also to the local sages and officials, prominent and outstanding. The far-reaching essence of the Confucian Temple is to educate people to be good and wise. For an average family, the temple can suggest their rise to nobility, for the would-be scholars, the sages honored are the models to follow, and for the general public, the temples can motivate them to learn for the good and the educated. For the whole society, Confucian temples can be used to instruct the commons for civility. The authors believe that it is necessary to improve the forms of Confucian Temples rich in contents, with local characteristics to make it a true cultural center and better serve the modern society |
