| 摘 要： | 狄更斯是世界文学史上一位伟大的批判现实主义作家,而《匹克威克外传》是他的著名代表作之一。这部作品写于19世纪,幽默和讽刺是它的主要的文学写作手法。借助这两种有效的写作手法,狄更斯形象地歌颂了人性中美好的一面,深刻地揭露了当时社会和民众的可笑、荒唐和邪恶之处,同时也对穷人的处境表示了深切的同情。本文旨在通过细致地分析狄更斯对幽默和讽刺手法的熟练驾驭和由此产生的极大魅力和影响来揭示他的作品深受读者欢迎的原因。

| Abstract: | Charles Dickens is one of the greatest critical realist novelists in the history of world literature.The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club,one of Dickens' masterpieces that were written in the nineteenth century,is characterized by humour and satire in terms of its literary techniques.With the effective aid of humour and satire,Dickens praises virtues in human nature,exposes the follies and vices of his contemporary people and society,and shows his deep sympathy for the down-trodden in a very vivid and impressive way.In this paper,the writer makes a detailed analysis of how Dickens employs humour and satire skillfully to reinforce his critical realist themes so as to show the marvelous charm and force resulting from their use in the novel and to reveal the reasons for the great popularity of Dickens' novels. |
