| 摘 要： | 新建本科院校在高等教育大众化这一独特的历史背景下产生．不仅是我国高等教育大众化的主力军．而且改变了我国高等教育系统的结构，促进了我国高等教育人才培养模式由精英化高等教育向大众化高等教育的转变。新建本科院校无论是在管理上、办学定位上、人才培养上还是发展前景上都具有自身独特的特征。对于新建本科院校这一新生事物，了解其产生的背景、发展的历史进程，有助于我们加深对其全面的认识，进而总结出新建本科院校自身所具有的特色。
