Abstract:Exp loring Classroom Discourse : Language in Action sets out to propose that the concepts of CIC and SETT frame- work ,which combine conversation analysis with teacher reflection through classroom interaction ,provide an approach to enhan- cing both teaching effectiveness and teachers' professional development. The book stands out as substantially important literature in classroom discourse studies with its novel perspective ,rich material and linkage between linguistic theories with teaching prac- tice and teachers' professional development.
