Abstract: | With the rapid growth in the Chinese and Indian economies, the opportunities for publishers have dramatically expanded. The
paper discusses the regulatory, political, economic and cultural factors to be considered in entering these markets. Finally,
the paper discusses three key tradeoffs to be considered in these markets: standardization/localization, volume/margin and
the relative importance of digital/paper publications. |
