| 摘 要： | 成语是语言的特殊组成部分,从内容方面而言是可译的.如果能同时在译入语中保持源语成语的形式和内容,则是理想的翻译.否则,可以牺牲成语的形式而翻译其内容.直译法、意译法、直意译结合法、借代法、减译法、增译法、解释法是七种常用的汉语成语的英译方法,其中以直译法最为重要,它能够在译入语中保留汉语成语的民族色彩、语言形象和修辞特征.

| Abstract: | Idioms,being a special and inseparable part of a language which is the instrument and shell of thinking,is translatable in terms of contents.If both the content and the form of an idiom can be translated,it is good;otherwise,form may be sacrificed to convey the content.For example,seven methods can be chosen to translate Chinese idioms into English,i.e.,literal translation,liberal translation,literal liberal translation,borrowing,omission,amplification,explanation,of which the first one is the most important,bearing the original national colors,images and rhetorical devices of Chinese idioms. |
