| 摘 要： | 英语词义的建构和理解，是一个搜寻与认知语境最佳关联的过程，故认知语境在其中起了非常重要的作用。本文就试从关联理论的角度，探讨如何利用认知语境通过语用收缩和语用扩充来构建和理解词汇的意义，并从中得到一些对英语词汇习得和教学的启发。

| Abstract: | The construction and comprehension of lexical meaning is a process of searching and establishing the optimal relevance between cognitive environment and lexical meaning. So the cognitive environment plays a very important role in it. Based on the Relevance Theory, this paper discusses how to make use of cognitive environment to construct and understand the lexical meaning by means of prag- matic narrowing and pragmatic broadening. After the discussion, the paper also gives some suggestions about the ways of teaching and learning English vocabulary, hoping that＇ll help. |
