| 摘 要： | 英、汉语是两种不同的民族语言，习语是民族语言的精华，恰当处理习语所承载的文化义蕴，是习语翻译至关重要的一环。笔者认为习语翻译应采用直译法，以确保移植译出习语文化义蕴的独特风貌和韵味，并依次提出了以下几种译法：借译法、意译法和直译加注法。

| Abstract: | English and Chinese are different languages.Idioms are the es sence of the language.When translating idioms,it is important to deal with the cultural connotation correctly which is kept in the two languages.This paper anal yses the source of the cultural connotation and discusses the basic translating methods,that is,literal translation,subs titutive translation,literal translation with annotation,free translation,among which the degree of faithfulness of the literal translation is the highest one. |
