| Abstract: | The Tang-Song ci poetry were closely related with the geisha.The geisha were not only the accepters but also the propagators of Tang-Song ci poetry.Liu Yong's ci were sung by the people around the country in the Northern Song Dynasty.Two reasons account for the popularity.For one thing,Liu Yong's ci were plain and sensational,for another,the geisha's propagation played a very important role.As the primary propagators,the geisha could influence the public opinions and the standard of aesthetics of the entire society. |
