| Abstract: | The essay discusses the comparison made by Ouyang Xiu between Su Xun＇ s Text and Xun Zi＇ s Text, which can not be found in the collection of Ouyang Xiu. A joke？ Ouyang Xiu＇ s metaphorical statement was directed to Su Xun＇ s On Six Theories in light of human natural tendency and critical writing style. He did not mention the similarity of Su Xun to Xun Zi overtly because of four reasons. |
