| Abstract: | Pierre de Coubertin is a founder of the Modern Olympic Movement. He revived successfully the Ancient Olympic Games with his vigor of whole life. He is not only an ideologist and a theorizer, but he is also a practician. The author discusses this article from following aspects::The era background and the motivation of the revival of the Olympic Games; The start-up approach of the revival of the Olympic Games; Pierre de Coubertin is the chief stylist of the Modern Olympic Games; The similarities and the differences between the Ancient Olympics and the Modern Olympics; The great significance of the revival of the Olympic Games. |
