| 摘 要： | 中国近代小说理论，是小说理论家借西学东渐之势变革传统文学观念的初步成效，林纾、严复和梁启超等人从情、理、事三个不同方面与西学构成纽带，使得小说开始了近代转型，确立了近代品格，产生巍然可观的理论成果。这一时期的小说理论以开启民智为主导思想，强调小说的政治功用与社会地位，并对小说的文体特征及创作手法作了多方面的阐述，成为整个近代文学思想中最重要、最有价值的内容之一。
