摘    要:大学教师聘任制度是一把双刃剑,发达国家既有成功的经验,也有痛苦的教训.处在激烈变革的当今世界,大学既要讲究办学效益而实施聘任制,又要尊重大学教师的独立性和学术性而继续遵循"学术自由"、"大学自治"的金科玉律,这是发达国家进入新世纪优化高校师资队伍面临的两难课题.

Abstract:The system of recruiting university teachers is a two-edged sword.The developed countries have both successful experience and lessons concerning this issue.In this drastically changing world,the university is in a dilemma because of the following two considerations: On the one hand,the university needs to implement the employment system for teachers because of the focus on university-running efficiency;On the other hand,the principles of academic freedom and university autonomy should be observed for the independency and profession characterized by university teachers'work.It is a dilemma.
