| 摘 要： | 习语是语言的精华，也是比喻这种修辞方式的集中体现。而运用人体自身的部位作为比喻形象是人娄活言的普遍现象之一。生物进化的双重性——一般性和特殊性——决定了各民族间文化上的共性和个性。英汉民族文化上的共性使得英汉语言在用人体部位作比喻形象方面表现出一致性；而两个民族文化上的差异——不同的经历、信仰以及思维方式，又造成运用同样的人体部位作比喻形象时出现迥然不同的情况，造成双方理解和交际上的困难。

| Abstract: | Idioms, the essence of a language, are centralized embodiment of analogy. And it is one of the commonest linguistic phenomena that man uses a certain part of his body as the analogy. The duality of evolution of creatures--generality and specialty-- determined the similarity and difference of cultures between nations. On one hand, the similarities between the English culture and Chinese culture make the two languages show great similarity in using human body as analogy. On the other hand, the differences between the two cultures--different experiences, different beliefs and ways of thinking--result in quite different situation, causing difficulty in the understanding and communication on both parties. |
