| Abstract: | Summary Increasingly today, serials librarians have to accept additional responsibilities outside their primary areas of expertise. The skills serialists have gained in handling the complexities of serials cataloging make a solid foundation upon which to build proficiency in other areas of work within as well as outside the traditional library.
