| Abstract: | Increasingly public libraries are recognizing their responsibilities in the areas of collecting and making available local history resources. Recently, a number of libraries have been involved with projects that collected oral history interviews and reprocessed them into illustrated publications, slide-tapes, videotapes, exhibitions, radio plays, and other products that made the raw materials of oral history accessible and meaningful to the general public. Examples of successful projects are described. |
