| 摘 要： | 当今时兴的"现代性"话题实际上是在"后现代"的语境中被提问与阐释的。现代性的论述者对现代性的隐忧进行了多方面的质疑,"谁的现代性"这种提问再次提出了文化中心主义问题,把对现代性的质疑转变为一个现代性的多样化方案思考。这一思考深刻地影响了当代中国思想界。现代性的多样化方案有两种取向值得重视,其一是查尔斯·泰勒试图从社区主义那里寻找资源,以文化差异性来建构非中心化的世界图景;另一种是设想从传统主义那里找到新的依据。在中国,现代性处于一项未完成的事业,但传统主义的影响依然深厚,即使是较大限度可以接受西方现代性基本理念的论说者,也设想依靠传统主义来建构中国的现代性思想文化基础。论文认为,超出简单的中心／边缘,同质化／多样性的对立,回到个体"本真性"的基础,建构一种"主体最小值"的思想文化,可能是适合当代中国文化语境的一种设想,它可以作为新的起点,在保持现代性基本价值理念的前提下,通向更具开放活力的后现代文化。

Modernity's Secret Worry and Diversity Program |

| Abstract: | It is virtually in the context of "postmodernism"that the popular topic of "modernity" has been interrogated and expounded. The exponents on modernity have enquired into its secret worry in various aspects, and the question as to"whose modernity"has again touched upon the issue of cultural centralism, thus having converted the query of modernity into a consideration on the diversity scheme of modernity, and having exerted a profound impact on the ideological circles in China. There are two orientations to be noted in the diversity scheme of modernity : one is the attempt of Charles Taylor to seek resources from communalism to construct the non-centralized global graph by virtue of cultural discrepancies, the other being the assumption of obtaining bases from traditionalism. Modernity remains unfulfilled in China whereas the impact of traditionalism is strongly felt, thus the proponents for adhering to basic concepts of western modernity may even propose instituting the ideological and cultural bases of Chinese modernity by relying on traditionalism. It is opined in this paper that by transcending the contrast between homogeneity and diversity as well as between center and periphery and returning to the individual "genuine instincts" , an ideological culture of "minimum subject" can be established, which may be an assumption fit for modem Chinese cultural context and which, as a new starting point, may lead to more vibrant postmodern culture under the pretext of preserving the fundamental value concept of modernity. |
