| Abstract: | Liang Shuming's cultural mission of education in the rural areas was "transforming old cultural and creating new culture". Schools in the rural areas were the specific organization that would realize the mission. The author analyses the aims of running rural schools in Zhouping, the school organizations and the teaching conditions; summed up Liang's unique features of combination of politics and education, Liang's attention to life and education and cooperation between intellectuals and farmers; pondered on the construction of the education system in the rural areas today. |
