| Abstract: | The Documentation and Information System of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is an important component of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Under the present reform and innovative circumstances in the Academy' s community, the exercise of comprehensive evaluations will be certainly instrumental in efficiently carrying out documentary and information services and gradually perfecting them as well. By introducing first the guidelines and principles of the model, the paper discusses some practical relationships in the design of evaluation models, the operational norms, indicator systems, and dimensional standards.
