摘    要:哈默的ESA教学理论提出:在英语教学中,投入、学习和运用三种要素必不可少,根据此三种要素的顺序变换和不同组合,可以设计三种不同的教学模式:直线型、反弹型和杂拼型,灵活运用于课堂教学。浙江大学编写的《新编大学英语》,贯彻了“以学生为中心的主题教学模式”,为采用ESA教学方法提供了良好的条件。

Abstract:This article focuses on Harmer's ESA theory which means in the teaching of English language,engage,study and activate are the three essential factors involved.Accrding to the change of these factors' sequence with different arrangements,three kinds of lesson patterns,straight arrows sequence,boomerang sequence and patchwork sequence,can be designed and practiced in the classroom.New College English,edited by Zhejiang University,penetrates"student-centered teaching pattern" and provides good condition for adopting ESA teaching method.We discuss how to combine ESA theory with English teaching during the teaching practice.
