| 摘 要： | 科举制度在中国存在了1300多年,它对封建社会政治的稳定、人才的选拔虽有一定的合理性,但到了近代日益成为社会进步的障碍。1905年清政府宣布停止科举,引发了强烈的社会反响。就上海地区,舆论即不一致:认为科举当废者有之;不必废者有之;科举当废、但不必骤废者有之;甚有主张科举与学堂合二而一者;等等。它折射了当时人们对科举制度不同的价值观,这些对今天的教育、考试制度仍不失其借鉴意义。

| Abstract: | Existing in China for over,1,300 years,the system of Imperial Examination redounded to political stability of feudal society and selection of qualified personnel.However,in modern society it increasingly turned into an obstacle to social progress.In 1905,before the Qing Government announced abolition of Imperial Examination,public opinions regarding this issue varied in Shanghai area.Some agreed,some opposed,some believed that Imperial Examination should be abolished but not so suddenly,some even proposed that Imperial Examination should be combined with schools.All these opinions reflected different valuations upon the system of Imperial Examination and remains useful to education and examination system of today. |
