| 摘 要： | 吴宓先生一生从事翻译事业。他认为翻译是一门艺术，在翻译时要注意选材，明确目的，并应坚持“首贵明显，再求典雅”的翻译原则。这一思想始终贯穿于先生的翻译实践中，使其在中国翻译界享有其特殊的地位。
