| Abstract: | This paper outline some of the techniques for pattern recognition in news video image research, the development of each pattern recognition method and the current research in this field are discussed and analyzed, analyzes the merits and defects as well. Especially, its development in China is simply introduced. The future development of the technology is also discussed. |
