| Abstract: | Investigating university readers' demands is intended to serve the readers better and to raise the utilization rate of all types of university literature. This paper analyses the features of the reading demands of undergraduates, postgraduates and teachers in institutions of higher learning. The reading demands of students show such features as: (1) intense and relaxed phases; (2) concentration; (3) wide range. Teachers' reading demands display such features as:(1) comprehensive and systematic reading; (2) specialized profound specific reading; (3) reading new literature in good time |
