| Abstract: | The paper discusses conceptual metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics as well as its impact on College English vocabulary teaching.Teachers should attach more importance to the basic level category words and teaching polysemies from cognitive perspective in college English learning.Meanwhile,the cultural connotation of English words should be taken seriously. |
