浅析广告口号翻译中的归化策略

摘    要:英语广告口号作为广告的一个重要部分是消费者接触最多的文体,有着宣传商品、刺激消费,促进销售的作用。因此,广告口号的翻译显得尤为重要,翻译的好坏会在一定程度上决定商品市场是门庭若市还是无人问津。本文从语言特点来分析广告口号的特点,在阐明了广告口号的作用后引入归化策略,并结合实例从中英文词汇的选择、句法结构、修辞手法的运用和中西文化与思维形式的不同重点分析了归化策略在广告口号中的应用。

Domestication in Advertisement Slogan Translation

Abstract:As the most often seen part of advertisement in people's life,the slogan of the advertisement is of great importance conveying the companies' principle and reputation and the commodities' information,and the quality of translation of the slogan can not only promote the commodities but also the companies at the same time.The author think that domestication strategy is the most suitable for advertisement translation to attract the customers in other countries.Therefore the paper deals with the domestication in advertisement slogan translation.Following an introductory section,the three charaters of advertisement are discussed,followed by the function of the advertisement.After the importance of domestication strategy is introduced,with detail examples,the application of the strategy is discussed in three aspects,including diction,sentence structure,rhetoric and the different culture and habit of thought.The auther hope to make contribution to the translation of advertisment.
