| 摘 要： | 虽然学界一致认为魏易是林纾最重要的合作者，但“魏易的翻译”却一直没有得到重视。魏易是晚清最早触及“国民性”批评的译者，他还主张通过广泛翻译西洋小说，帮助中国文学赢得世界地位。魏易的译作极具创造意识，富有“本土”与“西方”竞争的张力。其翻译思想透露着清晰的“翻译—会通—超胜”的文化战略。“魏易的翻译”不仅是准确认识“林译小说”的基础，就其自身的价值而言，翻译史当中也应当有其地位。

| Abstract: | Commonly recognised as the most important co-translator of novels in LIN SHU's translation endeavour, translations by WEI Yi himself rarely receives academic attention. This paper suggests that WEI Yi’s independent translations are equally high in ideological and practical accomplishments. His translations are demonstrative of the tension between the competing identification toward “tradition” and “otherness”, and a clear cultural strategy popularly adopted by open-minded traditional intellects, i.e. “translating, strategic perception, creative adaption”. |
