| Abstract: | Their Eyes were Watching God is the representative work of American black woman writer Zora Neale Hurston.The paper attempts to analyze how Janie quests her voice in different phases of her life,through which Janie obtains her identity with a clear feminist consciousness.Janie is the first significant feminist char-acter created by black women writers and the novel ranks the sutra of American literature. |
