| 摘 要： | 很多研究奈保尔的著作指出：奈保尔是一个＂无根＂的边缘人,谱写的是一曲后殖民时期＂无根人＂的哀歌。这已经成为共识。旅行是奈保尔自我找寻过程的体现。自我在＂看/被看＂的旅途中打破一个个的幻象、异化,执着于自我的找寻进而来认同真正的身份。但是奈保尔却＂忽视＂了认同过程中变化的特性,一直寻找而未果。文章以拉康的镜像理论为切入点再解读奈保尔的＂无根性＂,同时揭示人类普遍而真实的生存的状态。

| Abstract: | Many studies on V. S. Naipaul indicate Naipaul is the marginalized ＂roofless person＂, who composes the dirge of ＂root- less person＂ in the post colonial context. It has been a common view. Travel is the embodiment in which he searches for himself. In the procezs of ＂looking and being looked＂ travel, illusion and alienation are smashed. He insists on a search for self to realize real self - identity. However, Naipaul ＂ignores＂ the changeable characters of self- identity. So the search is endless. This paper interprets Naipaul＇root- lessness from the mirror- phase theory of Jacques Lacan, meanwhile reveals the universal and actual state of human being. |
