| 摘 要： | 现在大学教育改革提出的"博雅教育",旨在实现受教育者素质的全面发展,而其中人文素质教育成为核心,英美文学即是我国高等院校英语专业实现学生人文素质教育的一门主干课程。因为文学教学以文学为依托,既训练语言能力又培养人文精神;英美文学则通过英语语言把文学与文化结合起来,是英语语言艺术与西方人文精神的整合体;英美文学教学渗透文化素质教育,实施人文精神培养,方得以实践现代教育全面发展为目标的博雅教育。

| Abstract: | "Literal-arts Education" revived in modern higher education,aims at the overall development of educators' qualities,focuses on the establishment of humanities."English and American Literature" can be a principal course to achieve the target for the Chinese college students majoring in English.Literature teaching is to train the language competence and cultivate humanities in the name of literature,while "English and American Literature" combines literature with culture by means of English language,and it is the unity of English language art and western humanism.The teaching of "English and American Literature" infiltrates culture and humane qualities,so it is the channel to implement Literal-arts Education. |
