| 摘 要： | 恭维语是人们日常生活中一种非常普遍的语言现象以及最常见的言语行为。中美两国由于社会结构及文化背景的不同,从而导致了恭维语在实施过程中的功能、价值观念和文化规约三个方面的差异,了解这一文化差异不仅有助于人们在跨文化交际中正确恰当地运用恭维语,而且可以避免产生文化冲突。

| Abstract: | Compliments are a most common language phenomenon and speech act in our daily life.Owing to the different social systems and cultural backgrounds between America and China, some differ-ences in its functions, cultural values and norms are reflected by the particular speech act, compliments.To understand the differences can not only help one to use compliments correctly and properly, but alsoavoid cultural conflicts in intercultural communication. |
