| 摘 要： | 兼具犹太教拉比和犹太教法典评论学者身份的哈依姆·波托克是一位深受西方大众读者欢迎和赞誉的＂犹太味＂最浓、最独特的犹太作家,他以传统现实主义的写实手法表现了相对封闭的美国犹太社区生活。他的作品虽然在很长一段时间里被文学批评界所忽视,却能够在美国主流文化语境中赢得大量读者,这是与当时的社会、政治、历史等文化语境分不开的。

| Abstract: | A rabbi and critical scholar of Judaic texts,Chaim Potok is a very popular Jwish writer who has the unique Jewishness.His Jewish fiction presents an enclosed Jewish community in realistic way.Though his works have not generally been regarded as a critical success,they hold consistently wide popular appeal.The reason why Potok's Jewish fiction gains popularity is closely related to its social,political,historical cultural context. |
