| 摘 要： | 直译与意译是翻译的两种手段。关于直译与意译孰优孰劣,自古以来,一直是翻译界争论不休的问题。英汉互译中,语境、文化差异、译者理解能力与语言的发展直接影响到直译与意译的选择与运用。

| Abstract: | Literal translation and free translation are two methods in translating English into Chinese and Chinese into English.There has been a long dispute on which is good and which is bad between literal translation and free translation in translating group since ancient times.In translating, the choices of the two methods are affected by context,cultural difference,translator's understanding and development of language. |
