论英语文学在研究生公共英语教学中的融入效用

摘    要:文学作品是训练语言和思维技能的载体,阅读英语文学作品,有助于了解英语国家的历史文化、哲学观念和艺术传统。在研究生公共英语教学中融入英语文学阅读与欣赏,可以改变非英语专业研究生拘泥于词汇和语法等语言形式的被动式学习,促使他们主动通过阅读英语文学作品来加深对语言文化的了解,并借助内隐认知的自发性成效更好地掌握语言的内在规则,增强语言学习的自信,体会语言世界的快乐。

Abstract:Literature plays an important role in language training and mediation.Reading English literature helps us know more about historical,cultural,philosophical and artistic background of English-speaking countries.The integration of English literature into English teaching for non-English major graduates will change the passive way graduate students have in studying English,in which they focus on grammar and vocabulary etc.English literature may arouse students’ interest in English culture and make them study actively.Implicit cognition,a psychological concept,may better our understanding of how literature reading promotes students’ confidence and joy in studying English as a second language.
