| 摘 要： | web挖掘技术是指从大量的web数据中提取隐含的、先前未知的、有潜在应用价值的模式、规则和知识，它是在数字图书馆中应用广泛的新技术。以XML为基础的新一代Web环境是直接面对Web数据的，不仅可以4良好地兼容原有的Web的应用，而又可以更好地实现Web中的信息共享与交换。本文介绍了基于XML的web挖掘技术的特点、方法及在数字图书馆中的应用。
