外籍教师的跨文化适应问题——以河南高校为例

摘    要:本研究以跨文化适应理论为框架,采用定性和定量相结合的方法,以5所高校任教的外教为样本,观察和探讨他们在河南的跨文化适应状况,指出跨文化适应的五个阶段,并阐明这些阶段并不是必须都要经历的,兴奋期有可能缺失;而且外籍教师在来华之前对中国的了解程度与其适应程度成正相关。同时,笔者还为外教管理提出了一些建设性的建议。

Abstract:The study takes cross-cultural adaptation theory as a framework,using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,taking foreign teachers in 5 university as sample,to observe and explore their cross-cultural adaptation in Henan,points out the five stages of the cross-cultural adaptation,and elaborates these phases are not must go through,excitement period may be missing;and the understanding of foreign teachers in China and before coming to China are related.At the same time,the author also put forward some constructive suggestions for foreign teacher management.
