| 摘 要： | 英汉死亡词语,纷繁细腻,源远流长,文化信息异常丰富。研究它们的相似和不同之处,可以发现中英文化在表达形式、思想意识、宗教信仰、政治体制、民俗风情等方面的差异,从而为人们进一步学习、了解、研究中英文化打下基础。

| Abstract: | The words and expressions indicating demise both in Chinese and English bear profuse cultural signification. They are numerous, complicated and of long standing. This paper studies the difference and similarity of the words covering "demise" between Chinese and English and therefore opens out the cultural difference existing in expressing ways, idealistic consciousness, religious faith, political system, and folk-custom. It is necessary to have a good command of the diversity existing in these two languages for further study, further comprehending and excogitating the diversity between these tow kinds of cultures. |
