摘    要:大学英语课作为一门通识课,担负着培养学生批判性思维,造就学生人文情怀的重任。但传统的教学模式使学生成为了吸收英语语言知识的机器,批判性思维有待发展。论文分析了大学英语教学的现状,并通过一教学实例,指出了以CBI教学模式促进学生批判性思维发展的可能性和必要性。

Abstract:College English,as a course of liberal arts,is supposed to shoulder the responsibilities of fostering students'critical way of thinking,of cultivating their humanistic mind.However,the current teaching mode has turned the students into machines that memorizing linguistic knowledge void of critical thoughts.The paper,by analyzing the current situation in college English teaching and offering a teaching case,points out the possibility and necessity of promoting the students ability of critical thinking through CBI.
