| Abstract: | The linguistic relativity hypothesis states that there is a correlation between language, culture and thought. The advances in a series of linguistic disciplines have brought a renewed interest in the linguistic relativity hypothesis. In this paper, the author rethinks the hypothesis by examining its resurgence in various linguistic fields： anthropological linguistics, cognitive linguistics, sociolinguistics and Second Language Acquisition （SLA） . |
