塔潘与吉尔曼大学教育思想的比较研究

摘    要:美国高等教育思想带有美国文化的普遍特点,即源于欧洲并加以本土改造,其中塔潘与吉尔曼的高等教育思想具有代表性。他们都曾留学欧陆,继承了德国先进的教育理念,回国后利用出任大学校长之机积极改革美国高等教育,形成了各自特色鲜明的高等教育思想。

Abstract:With general characteristics of American culture,American higher education thoughts were originated from Europe and reformed in American soil,which are represented by Tappan and Gilman,who had studied in European continent,and carried forward advanced German educational concepts.After they came back to America,they were actively involved in renovating American higher education as presidents,thus their distinct higher educational thoughts were formed.
