| 摘 要： | 19世纪上半期欧洲移民大量涌入美国，形成了美国历史上第一次移民高潮。欧洲人移民美国是有其深刻的历史背景的；欧洲产业革命的深入发展，摧毁了欧洲的传统经济，导致剩余劳动力向海外迁徙；欧洲革命运动的失败与欧洲大陆的政治和宗教迫害，使得人们向往美洲的一片乐土；美国工业化的迅猛发展，急需大量的劳动力，无疑吸引了大批欧洲移民迁往美国；欧洲人口激增，官方移民政策的改变，等等。欧洲移民为美国经济的发展作出了重大贡献。

| Abstract: | In the early 19th century,so many Europeans emigrated to America that formed the first immigrant upsurge in American history.There were profound historical backgrounds for it:The deepening development of European industrial revolution destroyed the European traditional economic structure, causing surplus labor to emigrate abroad;the failure of European revolution and European political and religious persecution impelled people to yearn for the free America;the rapid industrial development in the U.S also attracted a large number of European immigrants;and the population explosion in Europe and the change of the offcial immigrant policy helped to form the emigrant upsurge.Undeniably, European immigrants made great contributions to the American economic growth. |
