民办高职英语专业课程教学中跨文化交际教学法应用初探

摘    要:新《高校英语专业英语教学大纲》提出新世纪英语专业的培养目标,即从培养纯语言专才向复合型人才转变,这就要求学生要同时掌握英语语言专业技能和知识(语言、文学、文化)。民办高职的特征是要培养应用型人才和综合性的职业素质,其教学内容突出应用性,教学过程强调实践性。语言学家认为,语言与文化有密切关系,不了解一个民族的文化,也就无法真正学好该民族的语言。在民办高职英语专业课程教学中,为了强调应用性,外语教学不仅要注重听、说、读、写这些基本语言技能的训练,同时不能忽视汉英两种语言中那些普遍和典型的文化差异,应该应用跨文化交际教学法进行教学,加强文化知识的输入和文化适应力的培养,让学生能更快更好地掌握和应用地道的英语。

Abstract:The new edition of "The College Teaching Syllabus for English Major" proposes the professional English training target in the new century should change from cultivating pure language professionals to inter-disciplinary talents,which requires students to master English language competence and knowledge(language,literature,culture etc.).The characteristics of the private higher vocational colleges is to cultivate applied talents and to foster comprehensive professional quality,so its teaching content requires applicability and its teaching process emphasizes practicality.According to linguists,language and culture have a close relationship with each other.If you don't know the culture of a nation,you cannot really learn its language.Therefore,in the English teaching process of the private higher vocational college,we should not only pay attention to the basic language skills such as listening,speaking,reading and writing,but also not ignore the cultural differences between Chinese and English.And so,we can apply the intercultural communicative teaching method to the English teaching and strengthen the input of cultural knowledge and the cultivation of cultural adaptability.Thus,the students can master and apply the idiomatic English better.
