| Abstract: | China is the origin of tea tree and is the first country in the world to make use of tea, especially famous tea which has played a significant role in China's tea developing history. The main concern of this paper is devoted to tea development in Lu'an city of An'hui Province, where is abundant in Lu'an Guapian tea resources that is one of the ten historical famous teas in China. Based on overall investigation on Lu'an Guapian tea resources, the paper presents main problems confronted with development of Lu'an Guapian tea, which include: (1) the brand value of Lu'an Guapian hasn't been well recognized; (2) the environment for tea plantation is getting deteriorated; (3) the current policies involving in the agricultural land use, the relief funds management and supervision, and the imperfection of service networks has not provided favorable conditions for tea development, and thus hinder the tea industrialization. Therefore, to speed up the development of Lu'an Guapian tea, it is necessary to adjust the rural land policies, especially by facilitating the transfer of land contract right, to guarantee the quality and profit of capital constructions by importing public biding mechanism, to standardize and internationalize Lu'an Guapian production, to develop and deepen the brand awareness of Lu'an Guapian tea. |
