| 摘 要： | 不同民族,相同动物或不同动物,它们的隐喻含义都在某一种程度上存在差异,而这种差异造成的大部分原因在于两个不同民族不同的历史文化背景。隐喻的修辞手法被广泛应用于动物词汇中,然而由于文化差异,动物的隐喻也存在差异。该文结合隐喻的相关概念,从古文化角度,分析了一些典型动物隐喻的区别,以更好地理解英汉差异;了解西方文化,学有所用。

| Abstract: | Among different nationalities,the same animals and different animals,in terms of metaphorical connotation to some degree,there are differences,which derive from the different historical and cultural background of the two nations.Metaphor has been widely used in animal vocabulary.Due to cultural differences,animal metaphors differ from each other.This paper probes into animal metaphors from the perspective of Chinese and English ancient cultures,so as to get better understanding of differences between the east and the west and the western culture as well as applying what we have learnt into practice. |
