| Abstract: | The present paper deals with the transient electromechanical interaction in a thin layer of liquid metal on sudden disruption of an imposed magnetic field. The problem is of fundamental importance for understanding the transient performance of various magnetohydrodynamic devices, such as electromagnetic agitators, pumps, liquid metal machines, etc. |
