大学生自主听力策略调查分析

摘    要:本文对一所医学院校二年级129名学生进行了英语课外自主听力学习状况和听力策略使用情况问卷调查。调查发现多数学生缺乏大量的有效的语言输入;多数学生存在听力障碍。在这些障碍中,词汇因素被排列第一位,其次是记忆力,第三是背景知识,最后是语音和语法。他们普遍忽视听前和听后策略的运用,听中策略运用频率一般。在5类学习策略中,学生使用最多的是意义策略,其次是母语策略。形式策略和元认知策略的运用已经接近通常不使用的范围。使用最少的策略是社交/情感策略。对此,本文根据有关理论进行了相应的分析并提出一些积极的建议。

Abstract:This paper reports a study on the status quo and the application of listening strategies employed by 129 second-year students of medicine in their after-class English listening activities.It finds out that most students are not exposed to large amounts of highly effective language input. Barriers that are reported to affect their listening comprehension include vocabulary in the first place,followed by memory power,background information and phonetic and grammatical factors as the last.The study also finds that the students tend to neglect the application of the before-listening strategies and after-listening strategies and averagely adopt while-listening strategies.Among the five learning strategies,the students prefer formal strategies and translation strategies to meaning strategies and meta-cognitive strategies.The least used strategy is the social/affective strategies.Based on the data collected,this paper also makes some analysis according to relevant theories of language learning and puts forward some positive suggestions.
