Abstract: | Lipid peroxidation and hemolysis in humand red blood cells (RBCs) increased on their exposure to increasing concentrations of lead acetate (0.01–1.0mM). However pretreatment of RBCs with ascorbic acid (2mM and 4mM) significantly reduced the effect of lead acetate on lipid peroxidation and hemolysis in human RBCs. |
