Abstract:Over ten years of new curriculum reform have not achieved its desiring goals with a gap still existing between current Chinese teaching and the ideas of new curriculum,mainly characterized by the weakening of Chinese educational functions in the context of examination-oriented education and student's tiredness of Chinese learning.The book--Informal Discussion of Chinese Teaching--written by the famous Chinese educationist Wu Tianshi was published in the 1950s,but its Chinese educational ideas of "thinking primary" and the teaching method of "activating student's enthusiasm about learning" still play an important role in improving and promoting our current middle school Chinese instruction.
