| Abstract: | The rise of library philosophy research originated from two reasons in China. Firstly, great changes have been taken place in social and academic backgrounds in China; Secondly, many problems have emerged in library science and librari-anship in China such as getting into hot water in library science research library science education and lacking the disposition of humanism in theory and practice of library science. On the basis of analyzing some representative points of view on the implication of library philosophy, the authors propose that library philosophy is a cross - discipline research into the kinds of philosophical problems brought about from the library area. |
