| 摘 要： | 《桃花源记》脍炙人口，不愧是我国古典文学百花园里的一朵奇葩．汉学家James凭借自己对中西两种文化，英汉两种语言的透彻理解以及他的本土语言优势，让人以另一种语言欣赏到了桃源世界的美。文章通过从英汉两种语言及文化方面对比赏析，得出对语言文化差异的准确把握是正确地对古文进行英译的重要条件，并意识到如何最大程度的对古文进行较为完关的英译，争取原文和译文最大限度的等值，翻译工作者更应从译入语读者的视角来思考文化内涵的传递。

Discussion on Translation between English and Chinese: An Appreciation of the Translation of The Story of Pinch bloom Spring |

| Abstract: | It is no exaggeration that the well - known The Story of Peach bloom Spring is worth considering as one of the most beautiful flowers in the garden of classic literature. Having a good knowledge of the languages and cultures of English and Chinese as well as being a native speaker of English, Hightower James, a sinologist, can translate so well that the beauty has been remained. By contrasting and analysing the differences between English and Chinese, the paper came to a conclusion： a good knowledge of these two types of langnages and cultures, especially of the differences between them, is very important for translators to do the work. ; to get a relatively perfect translation with an intention of accomplishing the maximum equivalence, thereby, translators should try to transmit the cultural messages in the original text to the target readers in the latter＇s place. |
